Quick Update

I decided our sad, neglected blog needed a little love. I'm supposed to be doing homework and have about 6 assignments due tomorrow, plus Jordan is gone playing basketball, Olivia is sound asleep, and this is the first time the house has been completely silent and clean... I figured now would be the perfect time!

As horrible as I sound, I'm actually loving being in school. It's really difficult to get things done sometimes (those online classes are killers!) but I do love it. My computer classes are awesome and from day one, I knew my major... fit. That's the only way I can describe it, it just fits. The best part is that although I'm taking a full class load, I only have 2 classes on campus so I'm home almost all the time still. And when I'm not here, Jordan is, which was the most important thing to me... that Olivia be home with at least one of her parents. It's worked out great so far.

*I love these pictures Camille took of Livvy, she looks SO big!

I'm not the only one starting school, in a few weeks Olivia gets to start school as well. She's getting so big! We got her into the toddler lab on campus and we're so excited for her! It's just two days a week for about an hour and a half, which will be perfect. We think she's going to love it.

To recap a few things, the holidays were so much fun and we enjoyed every second of it. So did Olivia, after we came home and things settled down she slept until about noon for 3 or 4 days. She loved playing with her cousins, eating all the treats, riding in the wagons behind the "horsies" staying at Grandma and Grandpa's house, and of course seeing what Santa brought us. We just had way too much fun!

September

Now that Jordan is in school, it's been a lot of Mommy, Livvy time. We've been having lots of fun, and certainly don't envy Jordan studying in the library all day long.
She is such a fun little girl, she keeps me laughing all day long. She's like a 10 year old in a 2 year old body (with hair even longer and thicker than mine!)

She will be two exactly two months from today. Where has the time gone! It seems like yesterday I was holding this little girl...

Now I can't hold this little girl for two minutes without her squirming off my lap...

Olivia is pretty sensitive, but with it comes an adorable sweetness. It's like she knows how your feeling just by looking at you. She often just runs up and kisses me on the cheek, or head and tells me "lu you"(love you)

We've been trying to teach her time out, I didn't know if she was too young to grasp the concept... She definitely does. A few days ago, she threw a fit over something, so she went to time out, which we've only done about 4 or 5 times. She was in the chair or about 3 minutes so I went it to talk about it. Before I can even get one word out she screams "SAUCRY" (sorry) gives me a giant hug, and kiss and jumps out of the chair and runs away. This girl is too smart for her own good...

As much fun as we're having while dad's gone, she really misses daddy, and asks about him multiple times a day.

As much as we're looking forward to the end of the semester in December, we're sure proud of him, he's working really hard, and doing so well, and Olivia and I are having lots of fun just the two of us...

I suppose you could say I've taken a vacation from blogging... a 6 month vacation

Let's play catch up...

In April, Jordan started school (and now he's almost through his first semester!)

We hunted Easter Eggs

In May, we rode bikes all around the neighborhood.

Watched Madagascar 10000000 times.

Practiced being naughty. (she has done this multiple times since this pictures was taken. Practice makes perfect...)

Took a day trip to Island Park and threw rocks in the water for HOURS!

Practiced being even more naughty! Yep, permanent marker.

Planned events and took notes. She carried this around with her for weeks, constantly pulling it out and scribbling little notes.

Dad tried to get us dressed... Lovely!

In June we had lots of picnics

Had fun at Rigby Lake

Which brings us to July. We went to see the Chuckars play.

My entire family got together for a reunion over 4th of July weekend.

Olivia racing/walking as slow as possible and enjoying the scenery.

Plus my sister took some amazing pictures of our family.

Jordan had a cheesy birthday. 22!

Olivia's bum seems to be hanging out more and more these days. Funny girl.

Plus Olivia played Just Dance on the wii, A LOT! Pretty sure she's better at it than me.

Bye Bye Crib

She's transitioned very well... turns out this makes it much easier to get out and play with all your toys and pull all the diapers, clothes, books, etc. off the shelf. I kind of miss the days when she woke me up with a nice loud "MA" from the crib. I think she prefers walking in and pulling my hair, that must be why she does it each and every morning. Yep, she's taking it just fine, I don't think she misses her crib one bit.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Jordan has been begging to put the Christmas tree up since the first snow fall last week. I am a firm believer in waiting until after Thanksgiving (at least) to put up the tree, but after watching this tonight... I caved.

Livvy was in awe...

Yep, we've got that Christmas spirit, there's no turning back now!

This happened tonight as well. We're not quite sure why it was so funny, but that little giggle is undeniably cute!
